Samford heads to Georgia State (15-10, 10-4 A-Sun) for its second to last game in Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball action. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST at the GSU Sports Arena. The Bulldogs are looking to spoil the Lady Panthers' bid for one of the top spots in next week's conference tournament.

Noot Pittman scored a career-high and game-high 26 points and recorded her third double-double of the season adding 11 rebounds, but Belmont put three players in double figures as the Bruins held off Samford, 66-53, in Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball action last Saturday afternoon at the Aquinas Center. Chasity Campbell and Natalie Brown each led Belmont (17-8, 8-6 A-Sun) with 20 points. The Bulldogs (6-19, 2-12 A-Sun) shot 43 percent from the field but only went 4-for-15 from behind the arc. Belmont shot 53 percent from the game and 73 percent from 3-point range. Lindsey Harris scored 13 points for Samford. Pittman finished the game 12-of-17 from floor. She scored 16 points in the second half to help Samford within four points.

The Lady Panthers swept through their North Carolina swing picking up two wins and enter Tuesday's game riding a five-game win streak. Georgia State knocked off Campbell, 61-47, and Gardner-Webb, 82-55 last week. Holly Coates recorded a double-double to help GSU to the win over the Camels. Evita Rogers scored 20 points to lead three GSU players as the Lady Panthers defeated Gardner-Webb. Angelina Miller scored 18 points and Patechia Hartman added 15 points in the win. With two games left in the regular season, the Lady Panthers find themselves competing for a top seed in next week's conference tournament. Gerogia State needs one win to lock up the A-Sun North Division title.

Samford and Georgia State meet for the 12th time with the Lady Panthers leading the series 10-1. The Lady Panthers knocked off the Bulldogs in this season's earlier meeting, 62-43.

Samford wraps up its regular season at in-state rival Jacksonville State Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
