BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Season tickets for Samford's 2008 football season are now on sale. The season will be Samford's first as a member of the Southern Conference.

Samford opens the 2008 season on Aug. 28 with a home game against West Georgia at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs will then play host to Faulkner University on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m.

Samford's first home Southern Conference game is scheduled for Oct. 11 against three-time defending national champion Appalachian State. The Appalachian State game will also be Family Weekend at Samford. The Bulldogs' 2008 Homecoming game is set for Oct. 25 against The Citadel.

On Nov. 1, Samford will play host to Furman, and the Bulldogs play their final home game of the season on Nov. 15 against Wofford.
