2007 (Freshman): Saw action in 37 games, including 26 starts . . . batted .224 (19-for-85) with one home run and six RBI . . . also had seven appearances on the mound . . . posted an 0-1 record and a 9.00 ERA . . . went 1-for-1 at the plate with a home run and two RBI at UAB . . . 3-for-4 with two RBI at Alabama . . . drove in a run in a 3-for-4 performance in game one against Tennessee Tech.

High School: Posted a 10-2 record as a senior . . . in three seasons, went undefeated in playoff games, 11-0, including two wins in state finals . . . struck out 133 batters and posted an ERA of 1.69 as a senior . . . batted .539, leading the team in average, hits, doubles and home runs . . . posted an on-base percentage of .648 and a slugging percentage of .944 . . . named team's Most Valuable Pitcher and Hitter . . . named All-State by the Birmingham News and the Alabama Sports Writers Association . . . also named All-Metro . . . ranks fourth in state history in career strikeouts and ­seventh in career wins . . . named All-State as a sophomore and junior . . . named All-Metro and Honorable Mention All-State in football as a quarterback.
