Samford Cross Country Set To Compete In NCAA Regionals

Nov. 9, 2007

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Samford cross country team will be competing in the NCAA Regional race this Saturday at the University of Florida Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. After a year off, OVC Female Runner of the Year Lauren Blankenship gears up for her fourth appearance in the NCAA Championships.

Freshman of the Year Hillary Neal also looks to be a favorite for the Bulldog women. Neal finished sixth in her first OVC Championships coming in second for the Bulldogs behind Lauren Blankenship.

Hoping to lead the men is senior Drew Anderwald who placed 13th in the OVC Championships and helped lead his team to a sixth place finish.
