Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Samford baseball team pounded out 16 hits on its way to a 13-0 win over Youngstown State Saturday afternoon at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
“I thought we had some good at-bats today,” Samford head coach

Phillip Ervin hit his third home run of the weekend, going 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Parker Curry and
Cole Limbaugh combined to pitch the final 3.0 innings, allowing one hit each.
“The biggest thing for our pitchers is they threw strikes,” Dunn said. “Parker and Cole did a really nice job. Alex, obviously, did a good job, getting us into the sixth inning. I was really pleased with their ability to go out there and find the strike zone.”
Youngstown State was led at the plate by Drew Dosch, going 2-for-4. Robert Switka (0-1) took the loss on the mound for the Penguins. Switka pitched 3.1 innings, giving up five runs on six hits.
