General Broadcast Information

  • All broadcasts on 91.1 FM, including game broadcasts and the Samford Sports Weekly radio show, can be heard online for free through www.al.com/wvsu and on a pay-to-listen basis through TEAMLINE.
  • If you wish to order an individual player highlight tape for the 2007 football season, all orders must be placed by Tuesday, August 28. Just send an email to the above address with the name of the player whose highlights you wish to purchase.

  • Samford On Demand
    Samford On Demand is a new multimedia website launched by the Samford Broadcast Network that fans can access for free.
  • Fans can listen to audio archives of radio shows and game broadcasts, and even download them through iTunes to listen to on an iPod.
  • Fans can watch archives of Samford's TV shows, team highlight videos, and other video highlights packages.
  • If they so choose, fans can purchase DVD copies of any video they see on the site.

  • Radio
  • Samford Sports Weekly is a one hour-long radio show that airs weekly from August to March on 91.1 FM in the Birmingham area. The show features interviews with Samford coaches and players and covers all of Samford's sports. The show airs every Wednesday from Noon to 1 pm Central and will run at that time through November.

  • Television
  • The Pat Sullivan Show, featuring head football coach Pat Sullivan and highlights of Samford football games, will air every Friday at 12:30 pm on CSS from Sept. 7-Nov. 23.
  • Samford Sports Central is a 30-minute magazine show that profiles Samford athletes and coaches. It will air on Alabama Cable Network (ACN) on Charter cable packages throughout Alabama. It airs on Channel 6 in the Birmingham area; for other markets, check local Charter cable listings. Here are the air dates and times: Sat., Aug. 25 (6: 30 pm); Sat., Sept. 8 (8:30 am); Sat., Sept. 22 (8:30 am); Sat., Oct. 20 (8:30 am); Sat., Nov. 3 (8:30 am); Sat., Nov. 24 (8:30 am).
  • The September 8 football game at Georgia Tech will be televised live on ESPNU.
  • The November 8 football game vs. Tennessee State will be televised live on ESPNU.
