Mike Grace

Position:
Director of Multimedia Services

Mike Grace is in his first full year as Samford's director of multimedia services.

"I am thrilled to officially join the Samford family," Grace said. "I have enjoyed being a part of the football broadcasts for the last year and a half and working with Bob Roller, Jay Roberson and Coach Sullivan, and I am excited to be able to extend that to a full-time position. My family and I are excited and are looking forward to moving to Birmingham."

Grace has served as Samford's play-by-play voice for the school's football broadcasts for the last two seasons. As director of multimedia services, Grace handles all play-by-play duties for Samford athletics events. He also oversees the production of all streaming broadcasts, and all video board operations and production during Samford athletic events.

"Mike brings 25 years of broadcasting experience to our programs, and we're delighted to name him to our team," Roller said. "The entire marketplace is evolving in the area of multimedia services, and Mike is the person to lead us."

Prior to coming to Samford, Grace owned and operated Grace Unlimited Media Productions, a sports marketing firm based in Daphne, Ala. In recent years, he has served as both executive producer and on-air talent for syndicated programs, including national radio broadcasts for the Mid-American Conference Championship game and the GMAC Bowl. He has also served in this capacity for the Alabama High School Athletic Association's AHSAA Radio Network.

For the past four seasons, Grace has spent his fall Saturdays following college football as one of 114 panelists selected to participate in the "Harris Interactive College Football Poll" for the Bowl Championship Series.

Grace and his wife, Carol Ann, have three children. Their daughter, Linsey (21) is a junior at Auburn, son Daniel (19) is a sophomore at Belmont and son Matthew (17) is a senior in high school.
